Fox and Rabbit Shop

Fox and Rabbit is a delightful tiny shop with a « candy store » feel,  located on Vaasankatu, which opened in 2011 by owner Henna, who also happens to have her very own jewelry line : www.designmerrygoround.fi

The store sells different pieces of jewelry such as necklaces, earrings and rings, but also souvenirs, tea cups, postcards & notebooks,  and little decoration items for your home.  You can also buy gifts for guys, such as old records or 2nd hand shop findings. In short there is a huge variety of little treasures in this fabulous fairytale-like little boutique.

Each year, the shop’s selection expands, and Fox and Rabbit now has over 30 designers. At the beginning, Henna showcased jewelry from people that she knew, and sold them on various markets and fairs. Once she opened her shop, she’s been receiving daily emails and posts from other designers. She insists on meeting them in person, as she finds it easier to be more specific and connect with the product and its story.
What Inside Out Helsinki loves about Fox and Rabbit is it’s very street-wise feel. This is not your typical jewelry shop: it’s very small, but never cluttered and there’s always space to wander around. The feeling of the store is very down to earth, and it’s especially nice to know that the owner knows the designers.

=> if you are on a tight budget, Inside Out Helsinki especially recommends the adorable post cards, always a change from the typical touristic cards out there.

=> Good to know: you can find the products on the website (e.g. recycling bags/jewelry/key chains…) www.foxandrabbitshop.fi
